洋桔梗，學名Eustoma russellianum，屬於龍膽科，洋桔梗屬，原產於北美、墨西哥，照片中品種為「可羅紫」。
洋桔梗的賞花期長，照護簡單，且品種多元和色彩多樣化，豐富的花瓣造型，無論是單品種插花或是作為花藝作品的創作都很適合，深受大眾喜愛。
常見的顏色有白、綠、粉、淺紫、深紫、粉橘等，除了單色以外、還有雙色、多色漸層，花瓣外型有杯型、單瓣、波浪型花瓣，就像裙擺飄逸的舞者一般，優雅起舞。
值得一提的是，「洋桔梗」在台灣的栽培面積高達百公頃，主要栽種地為彰化縣、雲林縣，更在外銷市場上佔有一席之地，每年的外銷金額高達一億元台幣以上，佔台灣切花外銷市場的第三名，僅次於文心蘭與蝴蝶蘭。

挑選洋桔梗時，可注意其葉子是否有捲曲，捲曲下垂的葉片代表水分不足，建議適當去除葉片，減少水分蒸散，花朵要插入水中之前，記得幫花莖底部剪新的斜切口，有助於花朵吸收水分，恢復精神。

✿ Flower Recognition Moment ep 1 / Lisianthus
“Flower Recognition Moment” is a new project launched by Daisy Academy in 2023. We will share floral knowledge with you every Monday at 7:00 pm and it will come in a bilingual version, so as to let more people get to know about flowers and love flowers. Let flowers enter your life and accompany us through every moment of life.
Lisianthus, scientific name Eustoma russellianum, belongs to Gentianaceae, Eustoma genus, and is native to North America and Mexico. The one shown in the picture is “Koreoz Violet”.
Lisianthus has a long flowering period, is easy to care for, and has diverse varieties, colors, and rich petal shapes. It is very suitable for single-variety flower arrangements or as a component in a floral design, which is deeply loved by people.
Common colors include white, green, pink, light purple, deep purple, pink orange, etc. In addition to single colors, there are also two-color and multi-color gradients. The petals are cup-shaped, single-petal, and wavy, resembling a dancer with a flowing skirt, dancing gracefully.
It is worth mentioning that the cultivation area of ” lisianthus ” in Taiwan covers an area as large as 100 hectares, primarily in Changhua County and Yunlin County, and it also dominates the export market, ranking third in Taiwan’s cut flower export market, behind the oncidium and butterfly orchid.

🌱 Reminder:
When selecting lisianthus, pay attention to whether the leaves are curled. Curly and drooping leaves indicate insufficient water. It is recommended to properly remove the leaves to reduce water evaporation. And placing the flower in water, cut the flower stem at an inclined angle. This will help the flowers absorb moisture and stay refreshed.
