法小菊，學名Chrysanthemum morifolium，屬於菊科，菊屬，原產於中國，圖中品種為白色法小菊，在花市裡經常被稱呼為鈕扣菊。
白色法小菊的外型如同一顆一顆的小雪球，花心透著嫩綠，就像迷你的支頭上覆蓋了一層糖霜，潔白、純淨。
菊科植物有一特徵是頭狀花序，意即我們所看到的一個花頭上，會由「管狀花」或「舌狀花」所組成；以圖中的法小菊為例，被包圍在最中心的微小扁平範圍內為管狀花，而包圍著細小白綠色花瓣的是舌狀花；以另一個更明顯的花種來舉例，向日葵中間的花心全部皆為管狀花，外圈的黃色花瓣為舌狀花；因此，一枝法小菊的花朵數量不只是一球一球的組合花序，真正的花其實隱藏在包覆的花心內。
法小菊可製成乾燥花，建議在新鮮的狀態觀賞5-7日後，將花朵倒掛至通風陰涼處或是鄰近除濕機的位置，待花朵完全乾燥後，便可以直放於乾燥的花瓶中，需要遠離潮濕環境，避免乾燥的法小菊發霉。
🌱小提醒：
建議可以摘除法小菊花莖上所有的大葉小葉，以幫助水份及營養傳送至每一個小花頭；瓶插前，建議為花莖底部修剪斜切口以增加吸水面積，也建議適度修剪花朵分岔，避免過低的分岔卡在瓶口以下，使花朵無法通風與透氣。

✿ Flower Recognition Moment ep 8 / Button Mum
Button mum, scientifically known as Chrysanthemum morifolium, belongs to the Asteraceae family and the Chrysanthemum genus. It is native to China. The variety depicted in the image is the white button mum.
The appearance of the white button mum resembles small snowballs, with a tender green center, as if miniature frosting covers each bud. It appears immaculate and pure.
One distinctive feature of plants in the Asteraceae family is their inflorescence, which means that what we see as a single flower head is actually composed of “tubular flowers” or “ligulate flowers.” For example, in the case of the button mum shown in the picture, the tubular flowers are located in the tiny flat area at the very center, surrounded by the small white and green petals, which are ligulate flowers. To provide another example with a more obvious flower type, in a sunflower, the central disc is made up entirely of tubular flowers, while the outer yellow petals are ligulate flowers. Therefore, the number of flowers on a stem of button mum is not just a composition of spherical flower heads; the true flowers are concealed within the central disk.
Button mums can be made into dried flowers. It is recommended to view them in their fresh state for 5-7 days. After that, you can hang the flowers upside down in a well-ventilated, cool place or near a dehumidifier. Once the flowers are completely dry, you can place them directly in a dry vase, away from moisture to prevent dried button mums from getting moldy.
🌱 A little reminder:
It is suggested to remove all the large and small leaves from the stem of the button mum to help with the transportation of water and nutrients to each flower head. Before placing them in a vase, it is recommended to trim the bottom of the stem at an angle to increase the water absorption area. It is also advisable to trim the flower branches moderately to avoid low branches getting stuck below the vase mouth, which can hinder ventilation and airflow for the flowers.
