毛絨絨的質地，如同可愛的泰迪熊玩偶一般，它是「泰迪熊向日葵」，屬於重瓣的品種，日常我們常見的向日葵則是單瓣的品種。
荷蘭知名畫家梵谷，曾在「向日葵系列」的靜物油畫畫作中，將泰迪熊向日葵的溫暖與姿態描繪下來，後人也稱泰迪熊向日葵為「梵谷向日葵」。
向日葵，學名Helianthus annus，屬於菊科，向日葵屬，原產於北美。
不同於一般的向日葵，盛放的泰迪熊向日葵存在感更為強烈，就如同梵谷在畫布上強烈的筆觸一般，獨樹一格，引人注目。
關於向日葵，我們都知道它因其向光性而得名，背後其實與一則希臘神話有關。
從學名字根可以發現，屬名來自希臘太陽神赫利歐斯Helios；相傳赫利歐斯與仙女克萊緹Clytie是一對戀人，但赫利歐斯卻與海神女兒勒珂黛Leucothoe發生另一段感情，憤怒的克萊緹向海神告發這樁地下情，海神因此活埋了自己的女兒勒珂黛作為處罰。
癡情的克萊緹，日日盼著赫利歐斯駕著日車日昇日落，希望他能回到自己的身邊；很遺憾的，赫利歐斯仍然沒有回到克萊緹的身邊，最終克萊緹化身向日葵花，永遠凝望著那個不屬於自己的愛人。
🌱 小提醒：
炎炎夏日裡，泰迪熊向日葵瓶插時間大約7-10天，屬於賞花期長的花材，如果希望延長賞花期，建議大家可以摘除些許葉子，減少水分蒸散；投入花瓶之前，花莖底部記得剪斜切口，增加吸水面積，花瓶水位不需要太高，建議為花瓶的1/3即可；盡可能放置在通風涼爽的位置，遠離熱源與潮濕環境。

✿ Flower Recognition Moment ep. 2 / Teddy Bear Sunflower
Soft and fluffy, like a cute teddy bear doll, the “Teddy Bear Sunflower” is a double-petalled variety. The sunflower we often see in daily life is a single-petalled variety.
The renowned Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh once depicted the warmth of the Teddy Bear sunflower in his still-life oil paintings from the “Sunflower Series.” As a result, this variety is also known as the “Van Gogh Sunflower.”
The sunflower, scientifically known as Helianthus annuus, belongs to the Compositae family, Helianthus genus, and is native to North America.
Unlike ordinary sunflowers, the Teddy Bear sunflowers in full bloom have a stronger sense of presence, much like Van Gogh’s bold brushstrokes on canvas—unique and eye-catching.
Regarding the sunflower, we all know that it is named for its phototropism, which is actually related to a Greek myth.
From the root of the scientific name, we can notice that the genus name comes from Helios, the Greek sun god. According to legend, Helios and the nymph Clytie were lovers, but Helios had an affair with Leucothoe, the daughter of the sea god. Infuriated, Clytie reported the clandestine affair to the sea god, who consequently buried his daughter Leucothoe alive as punishment.
The infatuated Clytie gazes upon Helios as he drives the sun chariot day by day, hoping that he will return to her. Unfortunately, Helios never returned to Clytie. Eventually, she transformed into a sunflower, forever gazing at the lover who does not belong to her.
🌱 Reminder:
During hot summer days, Teddy Bear sunflowers can be placed in vases for about 7-10 days. They have a lengthy flowering period. To extend their blooming time, it is recommended to remove some leaves to reduce water evaporation. Remember to make a sharp angled cut at the bottom of the stem to increase the water absorption area. The water level in the vase does not need to be too high—around 1/3 of the vase is recommended. Position them in a well-ventilated and cool area if possible. Keep them away from heat sources and humid environments.
