玫瑰，學名Rosa rugosa，屬於薔薇科，薔薇屬，原產於北半球溫帶地區，圖中品種為台灣在地種植、等級為A2的「佳琳粉玫瑰」，是小雛菊花藝學校課堂上經常出現的粉玫瑰品種，妮晏老師特別喜歡這款粉玫瑰，其花朵色澤粉嫩，花況穩定，花莖健康，創作任何花藝作品都非常適合。
關於玫瑰花的分級方式，以花朵的花況與花莖長度來區分。
根據花朵的花況，會分成A、B、C等級，A級為最佳品質的玫瑰，其花型完整、花瓣與花莖健康乾淨；B級玫瑰外型不如A級飽滿，但整體無嚴重折損；C級玫瑰則是過於成熟或是花朵與枝葉上有明顯的損傷。
除了A、B、C級的分級方式，還有在英文字母後方加上數字來區分花莖的長度；A1等級的玫瑰，花莖長度約65-75公分，A2等級，花莖長度約55-65公分；A3等級，花莖長度約45-55公分；短於45公分的花莖則被歸類為A4等級。
小雛菊花藝學校課堂上經常使用的玫瑰花等級為A2，其外型飽滿健康，且長度適合作為課堂花藝作品使用，無論是手綁花束、盆插作品，都非常適合；若是有製作大型花束需求，建議使用A1等級的玫瑰；如果製作小型作品，如花球、胸花，建議使用A3等級的玫瑰即可。

多數玫瑰帶有利刺，拿取時務必小心，可可使用花藝剪刀將大刺剪除，微小的刺可將剪刀微開輕輕刮除；玫瑰瓶插時，建議給予較高水位，建議水位為花瓶的1/2高，花莖底部以斜剪的方式剪新切口，增加吸水面積，提升吸水效率。

✿ Flower Recognition Moment ep 3 / Jia Lin Pink Rose
Rose, scientifically known as Rosa rugosa, belongs to the Rosaceae family and the Rosa genus. It is native to temperate regions in the northern hemisphere. The one shown in the picture is the “Jia Lin Pink Rose,” a locally grown Taiwanese cultivar classified as A2 grade. This pink rose variety is commonly seen in floral art courses at Daisy Academy. Florist Ni-Yan has a particular fondness for this pink rose due to its delicate color, stable blossoms, healthy stems, and suitability for various floral arrangements.
Regarding the grading system for roses, classification is based on the condition of the blossoms and the length of the stems.
Based on the condition of the blossoms, roses are categorized into grades A, B, and C. Grade A represents the highest quality roses, characterized by complete flower forms, healthy and clean petals, and stems. Grade B roses may not be as full in appearance as Grade A, but they lack significant damage overall. Grade C roses are either overly mature or display noticeable damage on their blossoms and foliage.
In addition to the A, B, and C grading, stems are further classified with numbers following the letters. Grade A1 roses have stems approximately 65-75 centimeters long, Grade A2 roses have stems around 55-65 centimeters, Grade A3 roses have stems about 45-55 centimeters, and stems shorter than 45 centimeters are classified as Grade A4.
The roses commonly used in Daisy Academy courses are of A2 grade. These roses have a healthy and full appearance, and their length is suitable for classroom floral arrangements. Whether it’s creating hand-tied bouquets or potted arrangements, A2 roses are highly suitable. For larger bouquet projects, Grade A1 roses are recommended. For smaller projects such as floral balls or boutonnieres, Grade A3 roses are ideal.

Most roses have thorns, so be cautious when handling them. You can use a floral scissor to cut off large thorns. For small thorns, gently scrape them off with the scissor. When placing roses in a vase, it’s recommended to fill the vase to about half its height with water. Trim the bottom of the stems at a sharp angle to increase water absorption area and efficiency.
